  1. Some good stuff here. I even liked the heckling drunk at the start, and he was well-handled because he disappeared without a trace during the show, so well done Loose Lips.

    And I’m indebted to John King for pointing out what we in Australia are not allowed to point out: that Baz Luhrman is stuffed to the collar with tacky, garish crap. As we stumble into the 21st century it’s good to see that people can criticise the cultural cringe we still have that makes us laud this idiot.

    1. Oh, I often love tacky, garish crap, so long as it’s chest isn’t puffed out. But if Australians are proudly claiming Baz Luhrmann, you have my shivering condolences.

  2. Oh, yeah. I tried to look up ‘Shitty Women of Literature’ and could only find this stuff about shitty men of literature—yay, #metoo Could we get a link in the show notes?

    1. Alas, I am not sure of the provenance of the list, whether it is an online secret or the stuff of half-assed legend. I couldn’t track it down, either.
