Well, I now no longer know what Aspects of the Novel I read back in my salad days—well, my lager and burger days—but it wasn’t as entertaining as Ms Blakeslee and Dr. King made it sound in this podcast. Well-written, sensible comments on writing can only be found on ‘The Drunken Odyseey’ nowadays, but at least in times past wit and humour could give practical advice on how to get the damn thing written.
I’m off to buy a copy of Forster’s book, once I work out whether it’s pronounced ‘Fawster’ or ‘Forester’.
DJ, my friends call me John, so no Dr. Kings here, please. I hope in rereading Forster that you like his lectures as much as we did.
