  1. It was delightful to hear from someone whose identity is defined and prescribed by her sexuality. But how wil she cope with American literature if she resents writers being drunk while they’re writing? Chandler, Hammett, the clientele of the Chelsea Hotel, both or either King?

    In discussing the homba in Watership Down, you didn’t go on to mention one of the greatest foxes in literature, the tod from Adams’ The Plague Dogs.
