In this week’s episode, I share the talk Patty Hawkins and I had about Todd Phillip’s Joker. We put it in a Batman context, and frankly stray far afield from talking about the movie, but frankly the movie is worth straying from, too.

I have to say that this episode piqued and held the interestt of someone who doesn’t care one with about comics and thinks that Spiderman is the only real character in the entire genre. So well done there. And Mr Hawkins’ forecasting of what might happen to DC now that it’s one small tentacle of a voracious phone company was quite compelling. I can’t wait for ‘Il Uomo Murcielago’ and possibly, a string of ‘Batsploitation’ pictures filmed in Argentina, where life is cheap…
But it’ll turn around. Sooner or later someone will come along with something new to say and, hell, there’s always public domain, right?
November 2nd is a launch long overdue, so I hope it goes well.
Bless you, DJ!
